AlloyHub is a UK-based eCommerce store specializing in alloy wheels, built on a heavily customized WooCommerce setup.
The site was experiencing slow load times and performance issues. The client wanted targeted optimization without changing the existing design or rebuilding the platform.
Challenge
The site was running on a ThemeForest-based setup using the Basel theme with WPBakery, along with a heavily customized WooCommerce implementation. This created multiple performance bottlenecks and made deeper structural changes difficult.
With load times reaching around 10 seconds, the challenge was to improve performance within the limitations of the existing stack, without a full rebuild.
Solution
We focused on targeted optimization across plugins, assets, and front-end delivery while preserving the existing design and functionality.
Unnecessary plugins were removed, heavier components were replaced with more efficient alternatives, and product images were optimized using modern formats. The goal was to reduce load time and improve responsiveness without disrupting the current setup.
Following the optimization work, the client continued with an ongoing care plan for regular updates and performance oversight.
